Arizona

The state provides Early intervention for children from birth to 3 years of age. Additionally, they continue to provide support as your child grows older. Arizona has a state-run Medicaid program, AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System), for which your child may be eligible to help cover the costs of doctor visits, immunizations, prescriptions, therapies, and specialty care. The state also has a Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD) that you can apply to for your child, which will provide you with additional supports and allow access to a coordinator who will help check in on your child and help with any service coordination you may need, therapies, respite, and day support programs, just to name a few. In addition, the state also provides a program to allow for Parent Providers to provide Habilitation and/or Attendant Care services to those with a physical or developmental disability. You would need to apply to both their DDD and Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) offices for this assistance. Please see the helpful links below.
